The Perfect Nut Milk

       

The perfect nutrient dense addition to tonicsteasmatcha and smoothies, you can always find a bottle of homemade nut milk in our fridge.

 

A good nut milk is an essential part of any recipe rolodex. Feel free to play with your water ratio, as less water will yield a thicker more cream-like milk. Combining different types of nuts is great too, but always make sure they’re activated in order to enhance their digestibility.

Ingredients:

1 CUP OF ORGANIC RAW NUTS (ALMONDS, CASHEWS, BRAZIL NUTS AND HAZELNUTS ALL WORK BEAUTIFULLY.)

4 CUPS FILTERED WATER, PLUS MORE TO SOAK

SPLASH VANILLA EXTRACT

1 PITTED DATE

1 TBSP COCONUT BUTTER OR COCONUT OIL

Place nuts in large bowl and cover with filtered water. Let stand overnight. In the morning, rinse and drain and add to a powerful blender. Add water, vanilla, salt and date and coconut oil if using. Blend on high speed for 30 seconds to a minute. Strain through nut bag and store in fridge.
