I write this review in my head every time I use this shampoo and I am finally getting around to posting it because it’s too good to not be raved about. First of all, the scent... it’s calming, natural, earthy. It’s just perfect. Also, as a long haired gal, I have never been able to find a natural shampoo that actually spreads without having to use half the bottle. This shampoo gets suddsy, spreads so nicely and actually cleans my hair to make it squeaky clean and not need to wash for a couple to a few days - which is how I prefer it. It also goes a long way, so absolutely worth every penny as it won’t run out fast. I’m a creature of habit and I don’t like to switch up products, so I was about to give up on my natural shampoo search, but then I got this bottle of gold. I also use the conditioner, which I could write an equally long review about how great it is. Sisters, I’ll love you forever. Thank you!
I bought this shampoo and conditioner after reading many positive articles about the products, because the smell is amazing, and I love the Sisters commitment to supporting Planned Parenthood. However, this shampoo and conditioner destroyed the PH and condition of my scalp and hair. The shampoo is sticky and thick and did not rinse out after a long time under the shower. My scalp is itchy, flaky and there is a ton of residue from the shampoo and the strands from mid-shaft to the ends are insanely dry and brittle. 12 hours after using the shampoo, my roots are a matted greasy mess. At roughly $60 for the both the shampoo and conditioner, and the additional money I've had to shell out for more products to fix the situation, it's a real bummer. I have fine wavy hair; perhaps this formula would be best on a different texture of hair.
Very good product.
