The Matcha Whisk

These whisks are created by Komakichi, the youngest Chasen maker in all of Japan, and are part of a family lineage that dates back to the earliest documentation of Chasens being made, at least seven generations. When learning the craft from his grandfather, he was advised to "sit down and stay in the same spot from sunrise to sunset". This skill allowed him to understand the importance of lineage and discipline by tolerating the deep physical and mental discomfort it takes to produce a Chasen. With only 20 authentic Chasen makers alive, this is an object meant to be passed down to the next generation. In the meantime, we highly recommend using one for your beloved daily Matcha ritual.

$65? Rip off. $15 on amazon

Why the heck would you want to rip your customers off? Seriously, $65 for a matcha whisk is obnoxious.

    Hi Chris,

Thank you for the feedback. We wanted to reach out and let you know that our matcha whisks are created by a family in Nara, Japan. We work really hard to bring special pieces to our clients. The difference in price is due to the fact that the product was made in Japan by artisans, resulting in a higher cost. I am so sorry you were disappointed with the price. We would love to have you as a client, please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Best regards,
    Rachel
