Viral Vitality Smoothie

It all started when I was feeling under the weather and declined a trip down the mountain to stay home and take a bath. That fateful day became the day that I was acquainted with the now "famous" Erewhon Turmeric Crush Smoothie. My husband brought it home to help with my cold, and it's been in my life ever since. And it seems it's been in many of yours as well. But for those of you who don't live in Los Angeles, I've done my best to recreate the magic, but of course added in a few CAP staples and a few other ingredients to uplevel and make it even more delicious. It's particularly welcome when I feel a cold coming on as the turmeric, ginger, coconut butter, carrots, beets and mango help to support and warm the system, while delivering a much needed and welcome dose of light. Because even though summer is on its way out, this feels just like the sun.

VIRAL VITALITY SMOOTHIE

Serves 1-2

By Kerrilynn Pamer

1 peach

½ cup mango (frozen is best)

½ cup pineapple (frozen is best)

1 orange, peeled and cut

1 carrot, cut (I leave the skin on, you can remove if you'd like)

½ ounce Turmeric Juice (Monfefo is a fantastic solution)

½ ounce Ginger Juice (again, Monfefo is great)

1 tablespoon The Coconut Butter

1 dropperful of The Light Ray

1 grind of black pepper

2 ice cubes

1 ounce beet juice

Blend above (leave out the beet juice) in a high powered blender until thoroughly combined and smooth. Taste and adjust as needed, it should be a bit tart and spicy from the ginger, turmeric and black pepper.

Pour half the smoothie into your favorite glass and slowly pour the beet juice on top. Pour the rest of the smoothie, then top with the remaining beet juice.

Enjoy!
