Upleveled Lipstick

At CAP, our usual modus operandi is beauty from the inside out. Ingestibles and adaptogens are often what get our hearts racing but when the master of eco chic packaging, Kjaer Weis, launches a lipstick, we’re forced to reconsider.

The first completely natural, but traditionally packaged lipstick we’ve carried at CAP, we can’t help but be partial to these exquisite silver tubes. Designed by Marc Atlan, known for creating the iconic Comme des Garcons perfume bottles, these lipsticks are made in Italy and certified organic by CCPB. And like all Kjaer Weis products, they’re refillable.

You can find our three favorite shades in-store and online. Each was hand-picked by Kjaer Weis founder Kirsten as a color every woman needs in their makeup bag. Universally flattering, you could say. We’re equally excited about each, so in no particular order there’s:

Adore – Kirsten thinks of this color as a timeless “Hollywood” red, a deep crimson with slight blue undertones. The only thing more classic than the shade itself? The throwback click sound you get when closing the tube.

Believe – Possibly the only color you need for fall, this is the perfect plum hue to elevate your natural lip color. Incredibly dynamic and versatile, Believe pairs just as well with a daytime no makeup look as it does with an evening smoky eye.

Honor – A balanced nude with pink undertones, Jean Seberg and Brigitte Bardot would wear this color. It’s the shade everyone at CAP HQ requested after our meeting with the Kjaer Weis team. Not to mention, it’s the nude Kirsten herself wears.

And, (most importantly?) let’s talk formula. Packed with Shea Butter, Rosehip and Jojoba Oils, these nourishing formulations ensure the perfect canvas for color and leave lips moisturized with a velvety finish. More opaque than a lip tint, the formula uses the warmth of your lip to activate the color. You’ll need to reapply throughout the day, but we’re more than happy to bring this inspired little container everywhere we go.
