Jammy Grape Smoothie

Smoothies are truly my lifesaver, especially after a long day of cooking in restaurants. I love the idea of sneaking in a full nutritional meal quickly and easily and letting the blender do the work! This time of year is so lovely at the market in California. High season for stone fruits and ah the glorious Thomcord grape. Not to be confused with Concord, Thomcord was developed in the 80s with that similar sharp labrusca flavor without those pesky large seeds and a tad bit sweeter.

Since religiously adding The Light Ray to a simple glass of water and really loving the unique jammy taste, I wanted to keep the integrity of that flavor and enhancing it in this recipe. At last, Jammy Grape was born. Let this smoothie fuel you for the morning and enjoy.
