Our friend and vocal advocate for a plant based, superior food based diet, Theo Sopko, gives us a peek inside her high vibe fridge. Find out what gets her going from herbs that count and algaes to ingest. It’s sure to inspire you on your next market run.

How do you stock your fridge?

My fridge pretty much looks the same no matter what the season. I shop my produce always fresh and it’s always organic (no compromises), so the turnaround is pretty fast.

I go food shopping literally almost every day. I have always very much enjoyed that process. It’s part of my daily routine, one always finds something new (research!) and I also love to interact with people on my daily food ‘shopping sprees’. I have to admit that I feel a certain void when I have not visited a food store on a particular day. Ha!


What's your food philosophy?

I have been on a fully raw, plant-based diet for over 5 years now. Most recently I have stopped eating all fruit and am stirring my body towards ketosis, thriving predominantly on mega doses of healthy fats (coming from Coconuts + Avocados), Greens and Superior Foods in powder form. Speaking of healthy fats; I heard the Coconut Butter from CAP is to die for, it’s on the shopping list!

I practice intermittent fasting, nourish my body with high-quality foods rather than ingesting high quantities of food. Don’t get me wrong, I LOOOVE eating, with passion that is but I treat food as nourishment and not as entertainment.


What's in your fridge?

Always stocked with a variety of algaes which I consume every day in various varieties: Chlorella, Spirulina, BrainOn, Blue-Green Algae, Dulse, Nori. Super powerful stuff for energy and brain and detoxification.

Home-made Sauerkraut, home-grown Sprouts, home-made Walnut, Almond or Brazil nut milk, my very own Coconut Yogurt (and the next project is to start making my own Kombucha. Probiotics en masse for a super healthy colon.)

A variety of superior food powders (I prefer calling them this way to the standard term ‘superfoods’): Matcha, Camu, Ashwagandha, Reishi, Moringa, He Shou Wu, Bacopa, Mesquite, Licorice, all very carefully sourced, from high quality, organic suppliers.

You can see them all in the colorful mason jars (I LOVE mason jars!).

Other glass jars which can be seen are filled with Raw Cacao Powder, Hemp Seeds, Tocotrienols (from Sun Potion), Hemp Protein Powder, Premier Greens Powder. I love making smoothies and all kinds of potions which end up being massive nutritional bombs!

As far as produce goes, I always stock fresh Ginger, Turmeric, Lemons (all for juicing) and Arugula, Spinach, Zucchini, Cucumbers. Those are my staples.

When I have gone overboard with buying too many avocados and tomatoes (as when they are on sale), I put half of them into the fridge, so they don’t go bad.

Some of my natural skincare products I prefer storing in the fridge, such as my oils from Odacite, my rose mist spray, and of course my probiotics (we all know that beauty comes from within!)

My big dream (which I promised to myself I will fulfill in the next 2 years) is to own a SMEG retro fridge in red or silver or mint green. Stay tuned.
