Michael: My skin is very sensitive so I try not to make too many changes to my routine. For the most part I stick to the same routine that’s always seen me through. There aren’t many steps but it’s what works for me. In the mornings I usually don’t wash my face with a cleanser, just a rinse in the shower. Afterwards I’ll moisturize with the Chamomile Day Cream from Pai which is light and not too heavy. To finish, if it’s particularly sunny out I’ll add a layer of sunscreen. Right now I’m using the Very Emollient Mineral Sunscreen from Alba Botanicals. Quick and easy. For my hair, I wake up with it messy and then add a little coconut oil and spray it with the La Tierra Sagrada Salt Spray and kind of just move it around. In the evening I’ll usually cleanse with the Pai Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser (as you can see I’m a big Pai fan) and remove it with the included muslin cloth. Occasionally I’ll swap in the Julisis Gold Day Wash if I’m feeling particularly oily and in need of a deeper clean. After cleansing I’ll mix a couple of drops of the Pai Rosehip Oil with the Day Cream again from Pai, mist with the CAPtivator Energy Mist and call it a night.
Kai: In preparation for the day ahead, I tend to be a bit overinspired with my skincare and protection for the day. To start, I’ll cleanse with the Cleanser Concentrate from Kypris. It has a super light almost gel/cream like texture that is immediately refreshing and leaves my skin feeling otherworldly soft. I’ll remove it with a warm washcloth and then go in with May Lindstrom’s Jasmine Garden for its calming and refreshing qualities. Then comes the first layer of protection for me: Tata Harper Restorative Eye Cream. I’ve actually just run out of it but I love it for its lightweight texture and ability to immediately plump up under my eyes because I have a complex about early onset crow’s feet. Following that I’ll layer on the Vitamin C, E + Ferulic Serum from Marie Veronique to protect my skin from free radical damage and UV exposure. I then top it all off with the Tata Harper Rebuilding Moisturizer (I have the massive size from our Spa backbar) for light hydration and the Coola Mineral Sunscreen for sun protection and not-too-matte finish. At the end of my day I’m a bit lighter handed and that usually just means a simple cleanse and serum combo. I’ll double cleanse with the Tata Harper Nourishing Cleansing Oil and the Kypris cleanser again and then finish it off with a few drops of the Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum. I’ll use a clay mask or the May Lindstrom Honey Mud from time to time but that’s pretty much it for the day to day!
